Traditional And Baju Busana Muslim Requirements

Islamic religion provides guidance on all sides of life. And clothing is not an exemption. For Muslims, modest dressing is a must for men and women. They have strong rule in matters of decent clothing and so these requirements should be met.

Requirements on womens and mens dress:

One: The Qur'an states that the clothes of women must provide covering for the entire body except for their face and hands. In this regard, women must at all time look down and must not be proud of her beauty and accessories except for what are needed. There is also ruling that their veil must cover their front part and must reveal their beauty apart from their husbands, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their fathers, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, and other close relatives. This is due to protect women and girls who are regarded as precious diamonds.

Two: Islam also provides law that all clothes must not be loose to reveal the shape of the body. For this reason, modern Western clothing such as tight leggings or jeans and body hugging tops are strictly not allowed. This requirement is demanded for both men and women. Cloak is also used to conceal a womens body and are commonly seen in the public places. Men are usually wearing loose robe that extends from the neck to the ankles.

Three: Prophet Mohammed warns before that there will come a time that people will wear clothes and yet appear naked. For this Islam firmly bans see-through Baju Busana Muslim (Muslim fashion clothes). Every dress must be thick enough that it will not show the curve or the color of the skin of the wearer.

Four: Aside from the type and style of clothes, Islamic religion conveys that the individual must also be decorous and simple. That means even they are wearing loose, thick and long garments, it must be designed in a plain and simple pattern. Glittery and sparkling ornaments are also prohibited.

Five: Muslim faith demands every individual to be proud of their own self. Imitating others must be avoided in all means. Women and men must not look to other people to imitate them in the manner of dressing. The fifth rule also strongly implies that women must not dress similar to men and men should not also dress like women. This is the reason why men are forbidden from wearing silk and gold as they are associated with women.
Six: The Qur'an states that Muslim wears must not be looking flashy or frayed but rather decent and clean. Clothes that they wear must not be the focal point to draw others attention.
